Q : How
to switch off the machine?
A :
For each separate O/S equipped with APM / ACPI (Windows 98,
Windows ME, etc.), the notebook can be completely shut off by going to "START"
--> "SHUTDOWN". For those without proper power management (DOS, pure NT,
etc.), you may shut off the system by holding the switch for 2 seconds. This is necessary
in order to prevent accidental switch-offs. In case that the system has frozen or hung for
whatever reason and the system has stopped responding, it will take 4 seconds to
forcefully shut down the notebook.
